I love to build and create things. Here are some of my companies / projects:-
Thrive Themes - Conversion Focused Themes & Plugins for WordPress
I co-founded Thrive Themes in 2013. My business partner and I bootstrapped the company out of a small 2 bed apartment in Timisoara, Romania. I had enough savings to survive for 6 months before I'd have to return to the UK and find a job.
Our major breakthrough came from the release of Thrive Content Builder (now called Thrive Architect) - it was the first truly front-end visual editor for WordPress and customers loved it. After our initial success, we continued to build a suite of tools to help online businesses convert traffic into customers on WordPress. A few years later, we had a global team of over 100 people building WordPress software for more than 40k customers.
We sold the company 10 years later in 2023 but I'm pleased to say that the company is still Awesome (in more ways than one)!
LevelUp - Build Offshore Teams
Back in 2017, I co-founded LevelUp because I couldn’t find a solid, round-the-clock WordPress support service for Thrive Themes - my own company at the time. What I needed just didn’t exist, so we built it ourselves.
We started out as the only outsourcing company solely focused on WordPress tech support, and quickly became a key player in that niche. As demand grew, so did we.
Today, LevelUp has evolved into a full-service Employer of Record based in Manila, Philippines, helping companies around the world find and employ top offshore talent. We’re now a team of over 120 and growing.
CueStats - A Mobile App for Pool Players
As a long-time pool player, I’ve always been obsessed with getting better. Not just playing more - but practicing smarter. That’s what inspired me to create CueStats.
CueStats isn’t a business move. It’s a passion project, built purely out of love for the game. I wanted a tool that could bring the principles of deliberate practice—the same ones used by elite athletes and musicians—into the world of pool.
It’s a mobile app designed to help players improve as quickly and efficiently as possible. With fast feedback, timed sessions, targeted drills, and performance tracking, CueStats keeps you laser-focused on exactly what needs work.
